03 December 2022 My progress in reading documents written in "Kurrent" is going well. Thanks to VHS Heide and Thomas, our trainer. Since I have spent a lot of time on the database lately, we are now at 2271 people and 780 families. I am now consistently adding documents to OBSIDIAN. Findable with the Ixxx or Fxxx from NTG. I = person, F = family. Pictures to persons or/and families I file in NTG. An external visitor may prefer to look at the pictures than the documents from the church records which are mostly in need of explanation. In OBSIDIAN are then also my transcriptions and further explanations to document.

2 May 2021 ......... But now we have some exceptions in the family: husband takes wife's
name, wife keeps her maiden name, there is a sweetheart - but they are
not married. Are there any solutions for this?......... Rob wrote in the Forum: I myself do not use the married name for individuals. I use the 1st
known name on either birth, marriage, death certificate or church
records. That is how we will proceed here as well.
